To help educate our members on emerging scams and fraud, we’re excited to launch our very own Scam Awareness Week to continue sharing important messages on how you can protect yourself and remain aware of the red flags shown by scammers.
In this edition of myQ, we outline scenario-based scam videos that show the impact if you have fallen victim from an Impersonation Scam or Investment Scam. We also introduce our Fraud team and share what they do to help protect our members.
In this video, we show how a scammer has convinced someone that they are having issues with their computer by using an authentic-looking pop-up window and contacting them out of the blue. The scammer pretends that they are from IT support when really, they are using a form of manipulation to gain access to the person’s online bank account.
Have you seen an enticing investment offer on social media? This video shows you how a person has been engaged by a scammer from an eye-catching advert online, promising high returns on their investment when in reality, the investment offer is a scam.
We introduce members of our Fraud team to highlight their expertise and how they monitor our members' accounts to ensure that they are not impacted by Fraud and Scams. They also share the red flags to look out for where you might be engaging with a scammer.
We share some recommendations on articles and guides so you can continue educating yourself on the latest fraud and scams impacting those in the community.
The ACCC’s The Little Black Book of Scams is available on their website. It provides helpful tips and guidance on the most common type of scams, the warning signs, and where you can find help. It is available for download and translated copies are available.

STOP - Take a minute and consider what you are being asked to do.
THINK - Does the request sound suspicious, could this be a scam?
PROTECT - Do not rush into performing a transaction. Always do your own research and report any unusual activity to Qudos Bank.
