CEO message from Brendan Wright

An update on our Proposed Merger with Bank Australia

We have been making great progress with our proposed merger with Bank Australia as we prepare for the next stage of this exciting initiative for the future of Qudos Bank. This includes the development of a range of documents for approval by the banking regulator outlining the proposed strategy and operational approach for the combined bank, including the benefits for members from the merger.

A key part of this includes a review of our range of products and services to identify where these will be improved because of the merger and the benefits that will be provided to members.

Members will have the opportunity to review all this information once finalised and ask any questions they may have as part of the member vote. We are committed to providing our members with updates as the merger progresses. As a member, your views and vote on the future of Qudos Bank do count.

Celebrating our refreshed Brand

At Qudos Bank, we’re always eager to celebrate our key milestones with our team. Recently, we held a special Brand launch event to mark a significant step forward in enhancing our digital experience for our members and the distinctive new look for our brand that now appears on our website, and across all digital experiences for members including the Qudos Bank App and Online Banking.

As part of this event, I shared some insights into the history of our brand, its evolution to today, and ambition for the future. Don’t forget to check out the photos from the exciting brand launch event.

Annual Report 2023-2024

I’m pleased to share that our Annual Report for 2023-2024 will be available at the end of October. The Annual Report will provide insights into our financial performance, community initiatives, and key milestones over the past year. We’ll notify you as soon as it’s available, so you can stay informed about how we’re working to serve you better.

Our upcoming Annual General Meeting

We encourage all eligible members to participate in this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Wednesday, 27 November 2024, in a hybrid format. Your vote on proposals at the AGM is important in helping us make informed decisions that serve our member community and shape the future of Qudos Bank.

A day of Purpose and Community impact - Stryde4 day

I am proud to announce that Qudos Bank has proudly partnered with Stryde4, a day dedicated to purpose, community, and health. This event presents an incredible opportunity for us to come together and make a positive impact. I am personally excited to participate in the 21km walk from the iconic Bondi Beach to La Perouse, a route that promises not only stunning views of Sydney’s breathtaking coastline but also a meaningful chance to raise much-needed funds for charities that are making a significant difference in supporting vulnerable members of our community.

Our commitment to community engagement extends to our employees as well. We’ve invited our team members to join in this impactful event, and I’m pleased to share that they have the option to use their employee benefit of volunteer leave to contribute their time and effort. It’s a wonderful way for us to support the causes we care about while fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose within our Qudos Bank family. I look forward to walking alongside many of you and making a difference together.
