Last month, Qudos Bank reached a significant milestone, celebrating a 15-year partnership with environmental organisation, Greenfleet.
We’ve always been passionate about supporting environmental initiatives to help improve our climate. It’s also our commitment as a customer-owned mutual bank to ensure that we give back to the community and maintain ethical and environmentally sustainable business practices.
In May, Greenfleet organised a Tree Planting Event and three of our employees volunteered their time to help plant trees at the Bonna Point Reserve in Kurnell, NSW. Volunteers across the state helped plant a total of 1,500 trees in the area.
From this event alone, the biodiversity of the reserve has been enhanced and can be enjoyed by future generations to come.
We captured footage of the day and our volunteers took the opportunity to share their thoughts about volunteering and what it means to join a valuable cause.
Qudos Bank also offers paid volunteer leave to their full-time permanent employees, which provides opportunities for them to join like-minded individuals to give back and represent our community.
