As a customer-owned bank, our customers and their communities are at the heart of everything we do. It’s an important part of our ethos to give to our communities in support of their goals. We are proud to support a range of community activities as highlighted below.
Qantas Pathfinders is one of Australia’s most successful volunteer fundraising committees, raising funds to support NextSense (formerly RIDBC). Through various fun and unique annual events, the charity has raised almost $9 million since they began in 1967. Qantas Pathfinders members are a dedicated group of present and past Qantas Cabin Crew, Pilots, ground staff and friends. Each year Qudos Bank is a proud sponsor of the Qantas Pathfinders Revue – a hilarious live musical featuring fabulous singing, dancing and a live band, showcasing the fun side of the airline industry. In FY22-23, to help sponsor the event, we made a generous donation of $5,000 to support the talented individuals and crew that make it all happen.
Little Wings is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing free, professional, and safe flight and ground transport services for seriously ill children in rural and regional NSW, ACT, and QLD.
Their mission is to support families with sick children by ensuring they have access to specialised medical services and treatments available only in major cities. Additionally, they strive to alleviate the financial burden associated with transportation costs.
In 2023, we proudly donated $2,200 to Little Wings, helping them continue their vital work in supporting families caring for their seriously ill children.
Jeans for Genes Day is a nationwide event held annually to support the life-saving research conducted by the Children’s Medical Research Institute. This initiative is crucial in ensuring a brighter future for children, both today and in the generations to come.
In 2023, thanks to the generosity of our community and the power of donation matching, we raised over $3,000. These funds are dedicated to advancing the Institute’s efforts in discovering treatments and cures for birth defects and genetic diseases in children.
The Australian and International Pilots Association (AIPA) is a professional association that represents over 2600 domestic and international pilots that occupy the flight decks of the Qantas Group aircrafts. AIPA provides their members with Legal and Industrial advice on many matters, runs a Welfare department dealing with all aspects of pilots’ wellbeing, provides additional Safety & Technical training to their members and runs support groups such as the AIPA Women’s Group. They have a team of dedicated professionals who look after their members’ interests.
Each year Qudos Bank supports AIPA through the AIPA Retiree dinner which celebrates the achievements and commitments of Pilots. In FY23-24, we sponsored the event and donated over $8,000.
