CEO message from Brendan Wright

I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the end of another eventful year, it gives me great pleasure to reach out to you through our MyQ newsletter. We are committed to transparency and open communication with you and view this newsletter as a key method for fostering that connection.

With November drawing near we are excited to announce our upcoming Annual General Meeting, a significant event in our calendar where we come together to reflect on the year gone by, discuss our achievements, and share our vision for the future. I invite you all to mark your calendars for our AGM late in November 2023 and look forward to your active participation as we continue to shape the future of Qudos Bank together.

Qudos Bank 2023 Annual Report

Our 2023 Annual Report is available on our website where you can find information on our yearly achievements, along with our results for the year ended 30 June 2023. The 2023 financial year reflects our strong financial performance and continued commitment to being purpose led and returning value to our customers, culminating in being awarded Customer-Owned Bank of the Year (Canstar) and Australia’s Best Customer-Owned Bank (Mozo Experts Choice Award).

Financial Performance

Annual Report Highlights

Straight through loan processing

Our new platform allowed us to process 50% more loan applications than the previous year, while achieving significantly lower processing times for similar volumes.

Digital signing

We introduced electronic signing of loan documents via DocuSign, saving time for our customers and reducing paper usage by over 400,000 pages per year.

New payment services

We introduced PayTo, an alternative to direct debits, as well as functionality to allow greater control for customers over the sharing of data through Open Banking. The 3D Secure service to verify online payments or purchases made using Visa debit or credit cards was extended to EFTPOS.

Mobile Banking

App enhancements improved customer accessibility and new features kept our ratings high, with Apple and Android App Store ratings of 4.1 and 4.2 respectively.

Sustainability

We were awarded ‘Climate Active’ carbon neutral certification, having taken steps to reduce our greenhouse emissions and for credibly reaching a state of carbon neutrality. Management changes

We farewelled former CEO Michael Anastasi in March and welcomed our new CEO Brendan Wright in August.
